THE KM001 PROJECT
MORAGLIS Sports Cars
The dream
After all it’s a human story, a friendship story, creating great feelings to share with our friends, teammates, our partner and all the motor fans, gathering people together along our journey. It’s a beautiful day, we are starting early in the morning, carving up the hills. The engine sounds wonderful and the air is rushing by our heads. The early sun rise is playing between the trees, flashing gently to our eyes. We are listening to the sound of the engine, revving up and down through the gears, admiring the awesome scenery and time to time smiling at each other. Sat firmly into the reclined bucket seats, our feet are glued to the footwell and we are feeling well the grip of the spider driving through the bends. The view of the front wings pointing at the road is gorgeous, the low screen cut into the bodywork allows us to see every detail in the road, anticipating any imperfections. The chassis is well balanced, firm enough to provide grip but at the same time gentle and smooth.
Feather Weight
The primary concept for the KM001 Spider is to create an ultra-lightweight sports car with a mid-engine configuration, weighing under 600 kg. Drawing inspiration from the road and race cars of the 1950s, the car features a small yet torque-rich engine. A lighter car offers superior handling, allowing it to navigate corners more smoothly and maintain consistent speeds without the need for aggressive braking and acceleration. This results in a more comfortable ride with less strain on the driver, unlike heavier, more powerful cars that require advanced technology to stay grounded.
Konstantin Moraglis is the visionary founder of MORAGLIS Sports Cars. With a rich background as a former fashion designer and VIP master tailor, he has worked for luxury houses in London and Paris. His keen eye for detail and passion for craftsmanship seamlessly transitioned into his involvement in motorsport, particularly with classic motorcycles racing. Konstantin’s expertise has been proven with notable victories, including wins at the 4 Hours Endurance Race of Donington Park and the 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps.

Past and future
I chose to build a spider to embrace simplicity and provide an authentic sports car experience. To design this car, I immersed myself in the glorious 1950s era, a time when magnificent sports cars with elegant curves raced at events like the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Targa Florio, and were driven on public roads. One of its key features is enhanced safety. The KM001 is designed on a larger scale than the smaller classic cars of the 1950s and 1960s, providing comfort for today’s drivers. Additionally, it will include special adjustable elements and bespoke seat options to ensure a secure and enjoyable driving experience for drivers and passengers of all sizes.
On the road …
Less is better
The engine is a classic Porsche air-cooled flat-four. We have developed an engine that is not only reliable but also powerful. Its 2.3-liter capacity strikes the perfect balance between performance and longevity. Assembled with modern parts while maintaining the original air-cooled flat-four design, it pairs with a Porsche five-speed gearbox that offers smooth gear changes. This combination delivers robust performance through all gears. For outright power, a motorcycle engine with a special final drive will be available. The chassis features a frame design made of lightweight seamless tubes, adorned with a beautiful composite or aluminium body.
Take care
The philosophy behind the KM001 is to create a car that is easily serviceable, without relying on software to activate components. Everything is readily accessible, allowing owners who wish to service their cars to do so using regular tools.
